For extra comfort, ask for a room away from the street. the Matisse room was quiet and had lovely views.

Every morning, Guillermo and Erika prepared a delicious breakfast, and my favorite was the enchiladas with green and red salsa.
I found the breakfast service to be a bit slow. it took a while for my main dish to arrive, and I waited approximately 40 minutes.

A hidden gem with a view
From the vibrant decor to the stunning rooftop terrace, every moment at Casa Frida was a visual treat. Breakfasts were highlights, featuring delicious, authentic Mexican dishes that changed daily, making each morning special.
The steep hill leading up to Casa Frida was quite the workout, and although taxis were readily available, it was a bit tricky navigating the cobblestones after a full day of exploring.

Y’all, I had a delightful time! The staff were as friendly as can be, and breakfast daily was a treat. Got to spend some cozy moments with Diego the cat, bless his heart. My room felt like a little slice of home, colorful and comfy in all the right ways. Just don’t expect soft beds!

Casa Frida offered a cozy escape during my stay. The rooftop patio had stunning views of the city, perfect for morning coffee. Every morning, I enjoyed a delicious breakfast with fresh fruit, yogurt, and delightful main courses like chilaquiles and enchiladas. The atmosphere was relaxing, with beautiful decor and spacious rooms. However, the steep hill leading up to the property was quite challenging for me, especially after a long day of exploring. I wish my room had a hairdryer and that the breakfast service was quicker, as I waited a bit longer than expected for my main dish. Overall, the charming environment and wonderful breakfasts made my stay truly enjoyable, despite the minor inconveniences.

It was just a proper fit for resting in San Miguel de Allende at a reasonable price. I really enjoyed the delicious breakfasts every morning with fresh fruit and unique main dishes. Make sure to take a taxi or Uber for easier access, especially if you're not a fan of steep hills.

We had a wonderful stay with our son's family, enjoying the cozy atmosphere and stunning city views from the rooftop. The location was ideal, offering a peaceful retreat while being close enough to the town. The breakfasts were a tasty highlight every morning.
In my wife’s opinion, more blankets would have made our nights more comfortable.

The view from my room was simply stunning! ! I enjoyed a delicious breakfast each morning that set the tone for my day. The staff were super considerate when my bus was delayed, welcoming me warmly even at midnight.
